2 am PST Thursday...

* winds... southeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40mph.

* Timing... winds will increase this afternoon with strongest
gusts in the evening.

* Impacts... gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Statement as of 8:29 am PST on January 18, 2017

... Small Craft Advisory remains in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 7 PM PST this evening...
... Gale Warning remains in effect from 7 PM this evening to 4 am
PST Thursday...

* winds: southerly winds increasing to 25 to 35 kt in the
evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
Inexperienced mariners... especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.

A Gale Warning means winds of 34 to 47 knots are imminent or
occuring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires
experience and properly equipped vessels. It is highly
recommended that mariners without the proper experience seek safe
Harbor prior to the onset of gale conditions.
